The Law Enforcement Database Without Mass Surveillance
An UMbRA search takes sub-5 seconds and can be done in the field.
UMbRA is Biometrica’s real-time, multi-jurisdictional, law enforcement-only database powering Biometrica’s real-time alerting tools (UMbRA itself, RTIS, RVIS, eMotive). It is the largest fully privacy-compliant, real-time U.S. database of its kind, containing only verified, law enforcement-sourced data.
UMbRA data is:
- 100% law enforcement-sourced
- Updated hourly with over 41 million unique person records as of March 2025
- Growing by approximately 50,000 records daily, powered by law enforcement partnerships and a partnership with OffenderWatch.
- Multi-jurisdictional, searchable, and strictly limited to trained investigators and analysts in credentialed partner agencies
- The backbone behind Biometrica’s privacy-first real-time alerting solutions
Data types include:
- Arrest, charge, booking data
- Convictions
- Probation and parole
- Active felony warrants
- Sex offender registry entries
- Records associated with missing or trafficked persons (for sensor-only use, not searchable)

Why It Matters
Facial Recognition Technology Use Policy
UMbRA data may be used in conjunction with Biometrica’s Facial Recognition Technology only under strict guidelines:
How UMbRA Connects to RTIS & RVIS
UMbRA powers real-time alerts from RTIS and RVIS sensors, enabling facilities and law enforcement to:
- Receive alerts within 30 seconds to a minute of when persons classified as a missing person are detected
- Filter results based on relevance. For example, only receive results on felony warrants or absconding sex offenders, or most wanted lists.
- Avoid mass surveillance while protecting public safety
